  • We are officially OPEN!

     

    We began in Jan 2019 with a view to opening in June 2020... Covid meant a huge setback in time frames and finances and so, we have only recently reached completion.

     

    Getting to the finish line was a grand challenge. We persevered and partially opened in June 2023, and are now thrilled to say that Spaces is 99% complete! (I mean, is it ever REALLY finished?)

     

    All the rooms are just like you see in the photos, if not better. Now we are dealing with noise from neighbouring constructions, but honestly, the worst is over - at the time of writing! The area is growing rapidly in popularity and we are so pleased to have carved out a peaceful little oasis here.

     

    We (and the 7 Bali rescue dogs) would love to welcome you here. Please talk to us if you have any particular needs, requests or concerns. We will do our best to accommodate you!

  • Retreat

    Our beautiful boutique holiday accommodation, wellness, learning and team retreat venue is just 300m from Munggu Beach in Bali. We have created a beautiful venue exclusively for adults to retreat, relax and restore.

    Relax

    Lush tropical gardens frame a generous common room and gorgeous central pool with lots of room for lounging, both in and around the water. The hardwood deck is adorned with umbrellas and comfy beanbags.

     

    These take centre stage to three accommodation options for a total of 26 adults, including a stunning villa, elegant rooms and dreamy bungalows with private plunge pools. All have our signature look of gracefully combined traditional and modern architecture and rustic contemporary decor.

    Restore

    Designed with holiday makers, friends, business leaders, retreat organisers and entrepreneurs in mind, this multi-faceted, intimate setting is the perfect place to gather for a unique, personalised and memorable experience.

    Tropical breezes flow easily through the 'Wood' rooms.

    Expanses of bi-fold doors allow floods of natural light and ventilation in the 2 bedroom 'Glass' house.

    Cool, natural floors provide respite from the heat in the 'Stone' rooms.

     

    Spaces Bali can sleep up to 26 adults in king or twin-share rooms.

    The location for Spaces Bali was carefully chosen to be in easy access - 10 mins by road or 20 mins by foot along the beach - to shops and restaurants, yet outside of the hustle and bustle of the busy and crowded Canggu.

    Reflections on the tranquil swimming pool at Spaces Bali

    ...chill

    The tranquil central overflow pool is surrounded by a spacious hardwood deck, beanbags and umbrellas providing lots of seating areas to enjoy, including built-in benches the pool and a vast shallow end for wallowing.

     

    The deck is great for your morning yoga, daily sunning, general chillin' and of course, sunset gazing... we can even organise cocktail parties, al fresco meals and soirees for you and your guests on request.

    ...eat

    Breakfast is a la carte and served either in the Space Base or on your verandah. You'll find good old bacon and eggs and smoothie bowls as well as some Balinese fusion and other unusual choices on the menu!

     

    Our goal is to make as much as we can from scratch using quality ingredients - peanut butter, jam, mayo, sambals, kim chi, pickles, cakes and cookies (because, balance 😄) and probiotic drinks - to name a few.

     

    For group bookings we can organise catering and private chefs on request, just ask! There are also a number of places to eat in the neighbourhood - from humble local beach stalls to cafes, restaurants and even a pizzeria, all within walking distance.

    The Riverside is perfect for hosting team building games, picnics and tea parties on the lawn, BBQ's by night and atmospheric buffets under the party lights... not to mention more yoga of course :)

     

    The location for Spaces Bali was carefully chosen to be in easy access to shops and restaurants, yet outside the hustle and bustle of the busy and crowded Canggu. If you do want to go there, it's a mere 10 mins or less by scooter of 20 mins by foot along the beach.

    My favourite spot to stay...

    My favourite spot to stay in Canggu. I absolutely love the location... just the right distance away from the hustle and bustle of Canggu. Spaces is perfectly situated in Munggu with more restaurants popping up, a short walk to the beach and so peacefully quiet. I have been staying in one of the bungalows and it's felt like home with drinkable water, my own private plunge pool and decking. I have access to wi-fi, a desk which is the most beautiful space to work from. The decor is stunning with everything being well thought out. The bonus is that I am an absolute dog lover and having the cute dogs around has been amazing! What an experience it has been with Liese and Jonny being so accommodating!

    ...will stay here again

    The rooms are huge, with drinkable water and international powerpoints. In great location, very local area away from the major crowds but still with in reach if you feel the need. 300m to the beach, great eateries nearby. Hosts are a wealth of local knowledge. I highly recommend staying here and will stay here again.

    ...beautiful and relaxing...

    Spaces has been such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. In one of the gladuks I had everything I could need - morning coffee, the fastest internet around, my own plunge pool (love!) and the most beautiful shower products. Liese told me they are all-natural, which I am a huge fan of. The shared kitchen and large pool sun deck were an added bonus and really made it feel like home.
    This is still a peaceful, quiet area and only a few hundred meters from the beach. Johnny and Liese are lovely and work so hard to make sure their guests are comfortable!
